Cathy is a Licensed Social Worker with a background in public education where she worked as a high school English teacher and supervisor. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Supervision from Rider University and a Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University. Drawing on her vast experience as an English educator, Cathy believes in what Oliver Sacks describes as the healing potential of “story.” Sacks wrote “biologically…we are not so different, as narratives, we are each of us unique.” Cathy assists clients in taking care of their unique stories by helping them reconcile their past, find agency in their present, and conceptualize an empowered future.
